I just can't decide if it's worth messing with Free MCBoot or to just cut my losses and play games with Swap Magic since I already have it now. I would have to bring my PS2 slim to play it somewhere else you have to put the boot disc in first every time

I have a PS2 slim and I can bypass the switches with solder in about 30 minutes and it'll be ready to go

CD games must be converted to DVD format, which might not work for some games games require patching to work properly and many games don't work well or at all (not sure what the real numbers are) can be had free+shipping from many people online (or free if I could get the damn installer to work) can be used on any unmodded PS2, which means I could bring the memory card+DVD-R anywhere and play it So, here's the real question: which is really better, Free MCBoot or Swap Magic 3.6? I tried two different flash drives, but that could still be the culprit, but I have no idea what brand/type is ideal for this crap.

I'm using the method to install it with Magic Swap, but every time I boot it with the flash drive plugged in, it just hangs at the boot screen. *sigh* after several attempts, I haven't been able to install Free MCBoot on my PS2 memory card.
